Father Jerry is the pastor at Holy Face Parish as well as the Administrator of Little Flower School.
Father Jerry was born in Poland and studied fine arts, philosophy and theology. He graduated from the Catholic University of Lublin with a Master’s of Divinity and received the Sacrament of Holy Orders, becoming a presbyter of the Roman Catholic Church in 1991. Since then, he has served as a priest in churches in Poland, Italy and the United Kingdom before coming to the Archdiocese of Washington. Father Jerry likes art, music and animals. But most of all, he likes to work with people and children. In Father Jerry’s own words, “God created all things big and tall, great and giant. But I believe that God also created all small and tiny critters. They are often pushed aside, ignored, overlooked or unnoticed. Like children, the small creatures may seem sometimes unimportant in the world. This is so unfair. That’s why Jesus teaches us that tiny things are important to God. God dresses up the flowers with their beauty and trails sparrows in their flight. Above all, God cares for small people and children whom he loves. This is good news. We call it Gospel and we make sure to remember it and follow it!
